I started rowing at University and it has become a passion of mine. I was rowing full time with the aim of getting myself to the GB team, but injury has cut my journey short and I am rowing for pleasure now. Here I am rowing a single scull, but I also participate in any boat class.
I have always been a keen photographer, having been given my Olympus camera in 2014 (see photo) I have collected a large array of photos from different destinations. If you would like to see more of my photographs, I have a gallery where you can look at a selection of my finest photos. There are many photos from France, where my family generally spend our summer holidays in the rural calm. From this I have learned to speak French to a high intermediate level, along with Spanish to a moderate level.
I have played the cello and piano for over a decade. Through this, I have been part of many orchestras, one of which I have toured with. East Berkshire Youth Orchestra (EBYO) took me in 2014 to the Black Forest / Alsace region to tour for a week which was phenomenal. The photo you can see here is when I participated in the "War Songs" biannual event to celebrate those lost in the World Wars raising money for Help the Heroes.
